My Cupcake Experiment

** Apologies for the blurry pics - took using my mobile **

Okies - a more recent entry, this activity was somewhere last month * =P * hahaha *

With my long absence from the world of baking, a sudden crazy spark of interest for me to try a hand at cupcake decorating. YUP, you heard me right.

I baked plenty of cupcakes, but those basic ones in which I do not prepare the toppings / decorations. Feeling itchy hand, I gave it a go and decided that I shall not make anymore attempt unless I have someone to help me wash the utensils! YES, I totally HATE washing numerous oily tools used in this process - oh well, I HATE to wash dishes anyway(unlike Cindy *=P*), so this just drives me insane.

Anyway, this was a good recipe - one I will surely use again by am staying away from the fancy frosting decorations unless;

  1. I have someone to wash the tools for me afterward
  2. I am totally in such a hardworking mood
  3. I have a promise to fulfill
  4. I need to impress / make my significant partner happy
* muahahaha * Heys - if I truly Love You, I will do all it takes to draw a smile on your face- well, within my boundaries of course *=P *

Fresh out from the oven. I simply lurve the vanilla smell!

My creations - not too bad for my 1st attempt * =P * And many many thanks to Pammie who kindly accepted to eat the failed, ugly ones * heehee * and also to those who are "forced" to help me finish eating them * wink wink *

Note : Yes, I enjoy cooking & baking but don't eat much after that. Suka buat jer * muahahaha *

Upclose to see my mistakes...

So who else would like to offer me their stomachs to help me eat my experiments? * wink wink*

Another Chili Pan Mee in USJ

I am wondering - USJ people like to eat Chili Pan Mee so much eh? Suddenly everywhere I look there's a new Chili Pan Mee shop...

Kalau sedap takpe la, mana kan..... * haih... *

I have to admit that I am a lil biased on this. My 1st Chili Pan Mee experience was with the already very famous one in KL, hence the bar has been set high on my benchmark, baby.

But this one in Taipan is slightly better than the other one I blogged here recently.

But their porridge was not bad though...

lazy lazy Sunday...

Wake up on this Sunday morning feeling lazy and ... lost.

Yup, Lost.

Why Lost?

I don't know what I want to do today.

Worse, I don't feel like doing anything today.

Worst, I feel bad at not wanting and doing anything today.

* ughh... *

Food with Love

** Super delayed entry **

I miss my colleague Jas & Jo's food of love...

Most mornings, grumpy no-early meow strolls into the office, dumping the contents of my bag onto my desk and shortly after, being greeted with a big smile and - home made breakfast / lunch! * swoon *

I have never been those kids where their mum/dad/maid packs her recess/lunch food for school - or whatever event since young. Hence, I am always on the verge of tears * ok, maybe not teary * when someone surprised me with a home made packed lunch/food - every single time. Oh well, not that I get it much... Oh, I miss those days when both Aunty at the clinic did that to me too...

It is not the food but the effort and thought which touched me dearly... I mean, they can just pack or eat themselves but they actually are inclusive of you too... Didn't come across my mind to take pics of them until the last month I am there in HRV * sad * but the love I felt is everlasting...

I even am given a set of cutleries to be used for our "picnic" sessions!

Some of the love I received...

Jo's yummy fried meehoon

Jas' yummy potato pasta salad

Jas' fried corn beef rice

And my attempt to supply lunch one day - am not so much of a good cook compared to Jo and Jas, and also, lazy meow... * hehehe * So I made a yummy, overloaded Spicy Tuna with Pineapple Mega sandwich. It was a pity I forgot to bring the cheese... * damn!!! *

And yes, WL can't complaint that Mum don't cook for her as she got a big chunk of this sandwiches!!! * =P *

The ingredients - we tried to be healthy so I used wholemeal brad and throw in more onions and tomatoes. Used tuna in water instead of those pre-mixed ones. I even rinsed the pineapples to rid off some of the sugary syrup! * =P *

First layer - arrange slices of pineapples on buttered bread

Next layer - tomatoes and spicy tuna.

Ta daa! The mega sandwich for lunch each of us had!

I baked Choc Chip Cookies for tea...

And Jell-O with fruit cocktail for dessert...

Yes, this fat meow can actually cook - not just at making sandwiches ok! Any man wanna take me in? * wink wink *

I will FEED them WELL... * muahahahaha *

JK's Farewell July 2009

** Delayed Entry **

Was in the committee to organize the farewell party for our HR Director recently. It was a fun experience with me - enabling me to work with new people and very much appreciate the challenges this task gave to my rusty creative brain cells.

Ya, I can't help but feeling my creative brain cells dying one dozen after another dozen with my lack of creative activities lately. Well, not lately but for the past 2 years!!! * horror *

As I was assigned to do the decor * more like I volunteered myself immediately for this task! LOL *, I had a fun time stretching my muscles at this task - with the theme evolves around Green color and Rugby... JK's fave.

The rugby field cake

Table decor

Streamers and flags - these were handmade and thanks to my mum who helped me with the cutting and attaching them to the strings!

The hall. The table in the middle was awaiting the caterer to spread out the food.

Entrance and my helpful angels

The party noise makers in which was almost hell to find them in rugby related themes... Finally a party shop in Cheras was able to sell me some. Had never come across my mind how difficult it is to find such items - as Rugby is a rather rare favorite party theme in Malaysia

Most of all, I had so much fun with great people on the theme who have not only been very helpful, but also very warm and what goofballs we were. Nevertheless, FUN was what hanging in the air with laughter echoing the whole noon ...

Mickey & Minnie At Daniel's Crib

Daniel has a beautiful house - no deny to that fact.

Imagine my heartfelt gratitude at his warm hospitality to invite Mickey & Minnie to his crib for a photo shoot session * LOL *

Here's a selected few pics which I likey - thanks Daniel! We had a fun "picnic" at your place and the simply like the wonderful tongsui you made!

The old school music player

Mickey catching a read in the beautiful arm chair

And yes, we shall go for the BBQ chic wings sometime soon!

Sneezing marathon

Could it be due to the weather or it's just me - my nose is itchy all the time, followed by bouts of sneezing and at times, watery nose.

This is worrying - hope I am not cathing the AH1N1 bug...

Bar Dua Puluh Satu

** Another super duper delayed entry **

* heeheehee * this time will kena cubit by Cindy * LOL *
We went to this Bar Dua Puluh Satu at Changkat Bukit Bintang... like somewhere last year? * LOL *

I am gonna spare you the hazy details, my fault for delaying this... but this is a really nice place to go, with good food. Really cool.

Dunno whats wrong and my pics can not be rotated... * ughh... *

OOO... I like this drink so much! Yup, I finished the whole bottle myself * muahahaha *

Me likey the balls of sugar...

Carbonara with bacon that will push your blood pressure sky rocket high

Yummy Calamari!

Bangers and Mash - Yummy

Our Appetiser - bacon with something? Can't remember * =P *

Who wanna go with me again this time to referesh my taste buds? * =P *
