Fasta Pasta

*~Selamat Hari Raya~*

While the Muslims are celebrating their Hari Raya, me 'celebrated' by going shopping (as usual-lah, what else am I so passionate about? :P) Went to Ikea to update my room's decoration (anyway, my pigsty will always be ever messy despite any effort to spruce it :P) and stopped at Fasta Pasta for a tummy fill-up. Actually, wanted to makan itu meatballs at the Ikea food court but it was full to the brim that day, so this was my 2nd choice.

It always amaze me how empty Fasta Pasta is compared to the other restaurants in Ikano & TheCurve. Though most eateries were packed on this public hol, suprisingly Fasta Pasta was almost deserted. Not that their price is outrageous, they are even cheaper than some of the eateries in TheCurve. Wondering...

Tried their meatballs... The meatballs were way to dry and tasted bland. However, the fried pasta beneath were crunchy and the red sauce was laced with cheese, added a pleansant taste to the fried pasta. Dont be fooled by my close-up pic, it was actually a rather small bowl.

I can never resist the tiramisu whenever I am at an Italian restaurant. It really worth your dosh with their rather big serving or tiramisu. Good one too!

The ambience is definitely a good one, especially for chatters like us - enough privacy with cosy, dimmed lights. Service was alright but the drinks here are way pricey - not good for guzzlers like me! * heehee *

Rate : Price 5 /10, Ambience 6 /10, Food 5 /10, Service 6 /10

After that, went to the ss2 pasar malam. It truly had been a long time since my last visit. We were lke crazy - kept buying and buying and buying! Spent so much just in pasar malam! God! But it was fun! Apparently there are more stalls selling accesories now, and some new food stalls. They even have takoyaki stall now! Yay! But I still think the takoyaki @ AsiaCafe taste better! Must go beli-beli more stuff again - maybe when I get my paycheck! * muahahahaha! *

Unrelated entry, my sunflower plant finally blooms! F-I-N-A-L-L-Y! I planted the seed like 3months ago (or was it 4?) Sadly, my plant were skinny and has VERY little leaves. From the 6 seeds I planted, all sprouted, but only 3 survived * :( *

You can see how small my sunflower is. I surveyed other ppl's gardens, and theirs have far much bigger blooms and definitely more leaves! Mine is like - the Kate Moss of the sunflowers! * sigh * CH said it must be my soil not being fertile enough, must go buy those mahal-mahal punya soil after this! I saw one garden, their sunflower plant has leaves as big as my palm and their bloom as big-ass as my face leh! * Ish! * What's their secret? * Jealousnya aku! *

Or isit true, like my bro said, I just have no fate with sunflowers? Or cos I have no gardening talent? * : / *

~ bunga oh bunga... ~

* ANother Kembang PoSt :P *

I am so attracted to those hair accesories which has a big blossom on them. Very Hawaiian or beach-feel mer... But upon investigation from stall after stall after stall... All quite mahal. Feeling adventurous, I thought I might try to make some myself. Add into my handicraft department * heeheehee * And here they are!

My 1st experiment - Orchids!

Orchids on clips...

Orchid on rubber band...

Apa macam? Pretty anot? * :P * Believe it or not, it costs me only about rm1 EACH which if you wanna beli kat kedai, rm5 and above for EACH. * muahahahaha * The only susah part is finding nice flowers to concert them into pretty hair accesories lor... Any idea where can find nice but not too expensive fake flowers, ah?

This is the hairclip version - very versatile actually, compared to the hairband one, can use it for any kind of hairstyles, be it side barrettes, princess crowns, french buns, french twists...and many more! Just pop-in and I shall give you free consultation! * :P *

And the rubberband version - very sweet-looking without looking OTT. This pic I tie my hair not nice la - just simply tie to show the pic * :P * , so, judge the flower, not the 'wearer'. Sumore my hair so cacat, demoted the cantik-ness of the flower * :P *

Now am on my quest to look for nice-nice flowers to make more. WL say I can open stall sell my handmade accesories liao * :P * I where got so hebat la...

If I can find more pretty flowers, will make some for my dearest cheemuis... Who wan ah? * :) *

C's Birthday 2006

*~La~la~la~la~la~*

This is the month of friends, food, booze and merry! One after another birthday calls for celebration = makan-makan-&-makan! * muahahahaha! * Memang Gemuk gila this few months! OMG!

Anyway, I wanna thank my darling W@i for her very thoughtful snail mail. I absolutely L-U-R-V-E it! Read it 3 times! * heehee * Especially the last page where she dedicated her well wishes and good thoughts. That is one hell of a heart wrenching page - it was so touching and tear-jerking - THANKS, darling, I love you too! * hugsies *

W@i , though it did not reach on time with my birthday, but I am grateful to the tops! Made me miss you even more... Come back soon! I miss your hugsies!

Ok, must turn the lights back to C! * :P * Celebrated my sweet-sweet gal's birthday last Saturday, though belated, but its the celebration that matters, hor? * wink *

Birthday gal suggested we go makan itu 'maa-latt' ( PLS DONT PRONOUNCE IT SENGET-LY THE WAY PG DID. It MAY mean something else! * :P *) steamboat at Dataran Prima sana. Exact location I cannot recall la * :P * They allow us to choose any combination of 2 different soups for the steamboat - like our objective, we chose the ' maa-latt ' soup and herbal soup. Sorry-lah, didnt take pics of the food - too hungry till lupa liao * :P *

Food was good, though a lil pricey - order whatever you desire, as long as you are willing to pay the price! * kekeke * A huge selection of food you can choose to order, from abalone to tofu... A very Cina-pek settings in the restaurant, complete with Jacky Cheung crooning in the background, but, hey, we go for the food, not the atmosphere * heeheehee * Was a very pleasant dinner, with interesting stories, loads of jokes to share and teasings aimed.

As usual, our outings does not end after dinner * :P * Birthday gal wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel - and there we went! * :) * For now, the space beside OneUtama is having a FunFair, complete with those jaw-dropping rides and win-a-teddybear booths. Entrance fee of rm3, one is treated to loud techno music and big crowd.

It is truly a magical experience to be in the fair. It chartered me back to my childhood memories, where I been only to one. Not as what I expected, as there is no clown nor cotton candy nor haunted house. What best is the colorful lights and canggih rides! Must return to try on the rides! Though they do is costly - about rm4-rm6 per ride on top of the entrance fee.

Me and C in the Ferris Wheel cage * :P *

We didnt go on rides other than the Wheel, but we went to try our luck on the booths. No luck that night, but we ended up with some Pooh character keychains for Cindy and some silly gifts like stickers, PENCILS and mini board game. I wanted the CareBear plushie, but no luck. I want that CareBear!!!!!!! Anyone can win me one? * :P * But this is what I won...

*~Jeng~jeng~Jeng~* Stickers and the mini board game * :P *

As C got me a very special and memorable birthday cake this year, I planned to do something extraordinary for her too! I "made" her one, not bake her one. I repeat - "made" one. * kekeke * Inilah hasil kerja saya ...

Can you tell what isit? :)

Apa macam? Believe anot if I say its a cake? * :P * I wrapped it up and make decorations on top so that it look like a cake - complete with candles to blow * heeheehee * It is actually a box of Cindy's favorite cookies. As we usually too stuffed for cake after dinner, I figured might as well get her a 'cake' that wont require us to stretch our tummy to the max. Hence, the cookies is my choice - we just hafta makan one or two and leave the rest of the box for the birthday gal to devour, rite? * ngek ngek ngek * One should really witness the pained expression on PG's face when C tore the packaging to find out whats beneath! * muahahahaha *

I hope C likes the cake and the pressies and the night we had. I certainly enjoyed myself. May you be well and happy always! * hugsies *

Happy birthday, gal!

Birthday 2006 - Part 4

Okie, last one about my birthday * :) *

This post is especially entered to express my sincerest, warmest, gratefullest THANK YOU to each and every single one who made the effort and the hassle to get me something to mark another year of my life *blush* You people made me swoon and gasped with your generousity, and most of all, of you care, love and concern to me.

This year, I was pampered and loved to the fullest! Thanks! I felt so loved and cared for! Everyone so bagi muka kat I! Terima kasih! This year also, I received the B-E-S-T birthday cake ever! Never in this 2 decades of my life I ever received such special and unique one! It definitely swept me off my feet, one of the sweetest things I will remember for the rest of my pig life! This is it :

An assortment of decorated cupcakes from C! Thanks, C! * muaks *

It certainly is one sensational gift! Each of the cupcakes are intricately decorated DIFFERENTLY. No 2 is alike!

And, it tasted great! The icings were made not from those sugary ones, but off butterymilky type. The cupcake has strawberry jam in it too. Yum-yum with the highest calorie count that one could not resist! * :P *

A clever way to present the birthday cake candles - subtle elegance to add the personalized details...

The 1st cupcake I ate! See how intricate the design were? One can see each small flower clearly.

Aside from the outstanding cake, I also received many fabulous, thoghtful gifts, especially from the cheemui clan...

I finally realised my dream of owning a Shu Eumura eyelsash curler!!! Not only one, but 2 sumore! * muahahahaha! * Thanks!

I also must thank Mr. Alex for his very much 'travelled' gift * :P * It was really sweet of him to order it from S'pore to be shipped to Australia and then back to me in Msia * hugsies * What so ' ba bei ' about this CD? It is only distributed in S'pore, Msia, Thailand, Phillipines and Japan. Thanks, it mean a lot to me... But no more packages ah!

Seriously, TERIMA KASIH setulus ikhlas dari saya kepada semua for making my birthday a memorable one. I can feel the love and care from all of you! I like all the fabulous gifts and love you all most! Especially you guys who even went the extra mile to celebrate my born day with me, to take that time out of each's busy schedule is even much more appreciated and honoured by me. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by love...

You people mean the world to me! * mumumuaks * hugsies *

And, I also wanna forward heartfelt thanks to all who sent your well wishes. Thanks, I truly am touched that you all remembered my birthday and are thoughtful enough to send me well wishes and blessings. Terima kasih, ya!

Though its just a normal day, a plain occasion where millions shared everyday, it mean the whole life of mine to me the gesture of you people made to serenade me with love, care and actually remembered my existance.

Thanks, I salute you all...

Birthday 2006 - part 3

Phew...! Part 3 - you guys must be dead bored with my birthday topic, hor? * :P * Sikit lagi je...

On the actual day, I slept through the afternoon - as a reward for myself after the few busy weeks * :P * Okla, I confess - I just mau menjadi pig on my birthday ma... To reminisce the good old days of just eat sleep eat sleep * :P * And I also did look through my past birthdays and rejoice in the celebrations I had - both the good ones and the bad. One distinct feature, I had friends that cared and loved me all the way...

After the lazy afternoon, I headed to Midvalley for my birthday feast * muahahaha! * On my actual day, wanted to celebrate with family, but mana tau my parents chicken out and gave the opportunity for me and my bro to makan to our hearts' delight! * heehee * The initial plan was to makan at Chilis wan, but they want us to wait a freaking 45 MINUTES for a table! Jeez, so we went to Piccolo Mondos instead - which were suprisingly rather deserted compared to most eateries there.

We ordered the creeam cheese with mushroom fondue - Y-U-M-M-Y!!! The bread pieces they gave was a tasty too, spiced with herbs. Tak mahal for fondue price market - rm24.90 per set. You can order their special dumplings to dip in too, but at a hefty rm2.50 PER FREAKING PIECE.

After the delicious fondue, we digged into their pizza - which disappointingly, werent impressive. I prefer the Pizza Uno punya la... But, Piccolo's pizza is much more generously laden with ingredients, of course.

Tamak us also ordered their special Itallian stuffed chicken. Ala, we were craving for meat mer, hehehe. * SP, jangan salah faham itu meat issue, ar! :P * Well, this is one hell of a very well done chicken! Really crispy and the outside, tender and juicy in the inside! The stuffings - mashed potatoes with spices and mushrooms. The chips were over fried though.

This glutton duo is too stuffed that we had to 'ta pau' half of the pizza home. I was thoroughly sadden that I was too full to indulge in their sinfully rich tiramisu... * :( * Shopped around for my bday present from bro but couldnt decide on which - shall do it anoher day then.

Their romantic settings is a definite plus for those who wants a quiet place to dine. I dig their candles on each table - added a warm feeling, dont 'cha think? * wink *

Birthday 2006 - Part 2

This year birthday I memang confirm menjadi lebih gemuk lagi :P On my birthday eve, CH was so sweet and generously given me his time out of his very busy schedule to serenate PQ yang semakin tua :P We went to Flamings for another pig-out session and this is what thoughtful CH gotten for me:

* Jeng~jeng~jeng~ * NINE scoops of ice creams in ONE SMALL bowl! CH yang hebat! Actually that night, he altogether scooped * gasp! * FOURTEEN, yup, EMPAT BELAS scoops of ice creams for me!!! Yup, me the ice-cream scoffer! I can never resist the temptation that Ice-creams lures... :P Oh yeah, baby, pile me with ice-creams!

Our skillful CH even scooped the ice-creams into cutesy, well rounded balls! *ahem* :P Not only dat, they are compact enough to be picked up with a pair of chopsticks! Lihat-lah sendiri...

Cute, hor? Yes, SP sure say CH under stress to make the perfect scoop for Miss Perfectionist PQ or else I tak makan, right? Or isit SP wanna say I suka dan senang ditipu dengan mere scoop of ice cream? *blush*

This is also the first time both of us ate ice-creams with C-H-O-P-S-T-I-C-K-S * woohoo * Rather fun and in my opinion, it serves better than the dessert spoon * :P *

After stuffing ourselves to the extend that is 5% more to being unmoveable, we left for SS15 for my piece of cake. Bravely, we push our overstuffed body through the Subang Uptown bazaar, looked at lanterns and walked about before stopping at Asia cafe for a drink and to finish the cake. Truly a crazy night - but a syiok gila one! * heehee *

Must really thank CH for the dinner and painstakingly full of love ice creams and cake and most of all, his precious time. Yes, CH, you still owe me sunflowers ar! * :P * Thanks, CH, my best hing-taii! You added another memorable event in my life!

And before I end this entry, I inserted this pic especially for SP...

My glutton-pig muka gleefully tucking into my bowl of 9-scoop ice creams caught in action! * :P * Bliss!

Birthday 2006 - part 1

Greetings! Apologies for my long absence - juggling between work and partying! :P * kidding* I had one of the best birthdays this year! It was a blast - with everyone surrounded me with lotsa lurve! Thanks a million, you folks know who you are! I will hafta separate the entries or else it will be one hell of a long post to load!

On the weeekend b4 my born day (my bday fell on a weekday - hence the early celebration), that Saturday night was one hell of pleasure for me. We went to Luna Bar, Menara Pan Global for the celebration. We thought, since we didnt make it there during SP's bday, we might as well recover the plan on mine * actually I sendiri dunno where to go celebrate la :P * After all the hassle of reservation and looking for the directions to go there, we finally menjejakkan kaki kat sana menjelang jam 8+ malam itu.

The pool and bar area.

Indeed the view was superb and the settings were marvellous. It was drizzling before our arrival, creating cool breezes welcoming us. It was relatively smaller than what I anticipated and believe me, their seatings was a disappointment. If you were to sit on the mezzanine ( like we did), God, you'll be crouching on the 'bangku'. Seriously - those bangku ala canteen style those times in schools... But if you sit at the sides, there's those comfy benches with cushions by the windows overlooking KL - but one have to climb up the seats. Either those or sit at the bar or some tables by the bar. Or if you are keen, can go up to the terrace floor too.

Foodwise - not a place to makan ler... Got some offered in the menu, but believe me, not ideal to eat there. Go there to enjoy the scenery and comfy, romantic ambience and yak to your heart's content with pleasant companies. And if mau minum oso can - their drinks is alrite - alcohol beverages i mean. But definitely a good place to cam-whore :P Its a place where I would return to enjoy a good night's out with the gals and good pals to enjoy each other's company.

SP cheemui managed to fulfil my request to show cleavage that night! Thanks, dear! Isnt she ravishing? :P

My daughter - ever the sweet looking lass

Cheemui C the Cutest

So we headed to Izzi's to fill up our tummy. Urgghh...! Seems like the reviews about it was a bit lopsided. Goin in with expectations resulted in leaving in disappointment. Food presentation nothing to be wowed, taste, dont make me go there. Not that it tasted bad, just, well, way out of expectation. Price wise is alright. The good impression I got was the attentive customer service.

The ugly looking lasagna, and a midget compared to Itallianies' giant one :P * jahat me *

The night was still young after makan, therefore we headed to William's Corner for that famous Ribena Longan. Reached home almost 3am feeling tired but satiated.

Enjoyed myself tremendously that night. If only all cheemui was there - dun care ar, when all is back in KL, we must bergembira 3 hari 3 malam - especially you, W@i! Everyone all made up per request by moi, I am flattered that all so bagi muka. Thanks ya all, I am touched that everyone make the effort to make my birthday celebration a fun one, but also one which made me feeling like a loved princess * mumumuaks * hugsies * Love ya all!
