1st day of Vegan Week

Oh yeah, I survived the 1st day of being vegan * LOL * 6 more days to go... * heehee *

Not that hard to abstain meat, but its the checking out all labels to ensure it does not contain any animal products that is tasking. Oh well, a promise to keep, and I wanna try being a vegan for a week, see how I can resist meat * :P *

No, don't try tempt me with my favorite meat dishes, I will howl and wail, but will not relent! * wink! *

I got the job! * woohoo! * Now waiting for the offer letter - apparently the management must finalise and approve the terms and conditions before giving me the offer letter. Oh well, at least I know I am 75-80% employed by now * :P * and 100% free from the need to go hunting.

Hereby, I would like to take the opportunity to thank every single one of you who had given me your blessings and well wishes upon me getting this job. Really appreciate it, filled me with a glow of warmth that means so much to me, getting the job is a bonus on top of all the love I get from you all. I send my deepest gratitude to each and everyone of you, may you all be happy, well, loved and successful in every aspect of life! * hugsies! *

Chili Pan Mee

The first time the term "Chili Pan Mee" hit my virgin ears * :P * was complimentary from C. Apparently there is this very famous shop selling a very unique Chili Pan Mee right in the city where I was born. Hard to believe at first, but as a hot * spicy food lover, it interests me to rape ... er... I meant - ravage it * :P * as I also am an avid fan of Pan Mee.

Therefore, I jumped at the opportunity that hit my way when my manager (now ex * :P *) casually invited me for a Chili Pan Mee lunch on a lazy Saturday. A rather dirty and dingy place, but crowded, complete with the ever "laann see" owners - memang sah this is the place of the most talked about Chili Pan Mee.

This is how it looked - must order the dry Chili Pan Mee - its the one people talkking about. Actually, its the "kon lou" Pan Mee, the speciality is their chili where you input at your own discretion. * The white tingy is telur goreng *

Then, Mix Mix Mix and voila, its the Chili Pan Mee you have been anticipating... I must admit that it is unique, not only the taste of the chili added, but the mee as well. I rarely * can say never had been-lah * ate Pan Mee that are made into circular shape - that of spaghetti. Bukan itu shape yang menakjubkan, its the texture. Memang fit the description of pejal, kenyal, tegang dan bermutu * LOLOLOLOL * I like the texture a lot.

Tak cukup with the "laan see" owner, they have scribblings on their wall in rhymes praising their proud product... * :P *

I do say, go try it out - an experience worth gaining. A definite unique taste. Though to me, it is not the sedap-till-beh-tahan, but I like it * hehehehe *

The following picture was taken because I was impressed by the Pan Mee seller at AsiaCafe - he definitely love his work - my bowl of Pan Mee was cooked with passion...

Memang my first experince makan Pan Mee at a hawker stall where they present to me a one which was so well decorated! * LOL * Note how he arrange the fishcake slices and the mushroom slices... * swoon * What a passionate man.... * wink * LOL *

SP - Blaze Alert!

An unexpected find from a old books&magazines retailer in ss15 which definitely made my day. With the amount of past magazines and vast variety of them, made people overlook the treasures hidden.

I M-U-S-T take a picture of this for SP - it will throw her off balance ;

A tray filled to the top with BLAZE books! * howling!!! * muahahahaha!!! * All at rm5 each! * muahahahahaha!!! * Old series of course, but enough to make me a happy gal! * swoon * But do not be overexcited yet, SP, got many of them are of same titles - but it shall all migrate to my collection soon * muahahahahaha! *

Nevertheless, this shop immediately listed as one of my favorites * heehee * wink! *

WL's Burfday 2007

My daughter wants a "mellow" burfday celebration, so what else to do but eat * LOL *

Went makan besar-besaran for TWO meals! * LOL * Here are the pics to entice SP * :P *

Went to Kiku Zakura in TimesSquare - environment very good and quiet, with high walled cubicles and good customer service. Food-wise, I think Zen of SunwayPyramid is better. Price - competitive.

My bento set - I especially like their sashimi, where they give generously thick slices.

WL's set - the tempura looked so good...

I like their prawn tempura~ The looks of them are the most handsome among the banyak prawn tempura yg masuk perut saya, and it tasted marvelous as well! A must try when you are there!

The 2nd big meal was at Delicious - I dont have to say much, their name already tells all * wink * Am very satisfied with their very good customer service, they have waitresses who refills your water so frequent, every centimeter gone from your glass will be refilled immediately!

My glass of Death By Chocolate - I tak mati lagi, so not that chocolatey, more like choc milk with vanilla ice-cream - but was pretty alrite.

My plate of Mushroom Spag! Like it alot, though the chef a lil OD-ed on the olive oil...

Tak cukup mushroom for my main course, I minum their mushroom soup! * LOL * Very thick, but a lil too salty for me...

WL's plate of antipasto - with the pate in the middle... Very nicely presented...

And the mini cupcakes! * heehee * So cute, but too sweet to my likings - not so good actually.

We are eyeing their English tea-time : those with the tiers containing scones and all. Maybe the next trip - C, you coming? * wink *

Lilies Bouquet

Ok - my 1st business, courtesy from C * LOL * But I am so sorry to her as it doesn't turn out exactly like my original design, as I got tipu-ed by the florist where I bought the flowers!!!

I had to pre-order the flowers, and as they closes at 7pm, which is way before I can leave my darn office, so I had to get my mum to collect for me, hence, the lack of chance for quality control as well as maki-hamun that florist!

The flowers turned out to be not the condition of bloom as I ordered, and the Staccis is PURPLE instead of the PINK ones in my order. I get unidentical white small flowers, with some yellow pulak. To make things worst, she forgot to give me the 2 big Acacia leaves which I HAVE PAID FOR!!! I totally will not only NOT going to that blardy shop anymore, I will make sure others dont as well. The one in SS15, same row with Taylor's Business School, the florist with a yellow signboard. Celaka betul!!!

So sorry, C, the bouquet isnt so nice... I owe you one!

Haih... I feel so cheated!!!

I am unhappy with my work!!!

The nicest thing here - is the ribbon... * :( *

I must post this pic - my bro reluctantly holding the flower for me to take pic of it, he dowan his face to be seen * LOL *

Oh, and the balloon I attach together with the bouquet - since the flowers turned out to be so teruk, the bouquet was smaller than anticipated, hence can not put the balloon in the bouquet as it will overshadow them... * sigh... *

So sorry, C, I will make sure I get a supplier soon!

The 1st Cake

I know this may sound silly to many others, but to me, I think its a meaningful thing to have a lil memory of this.

This week is my parents birthday ( yup, both shares the same day!) and I decided to buy them an ice-cream cake, since they enjoyed it alot during my 2nd Sis' birthday back a few months ago. Yeah, much more expensive than the regular cake, but as long as they like it, I think that's most important.

This may be silly, but I suddenly realise that this is the very 1st cake I buy for their birthday with my OWN hard-earned money! Yeah, previously memang selalu beli cake, but the money is from THEM, they are the one who gave me the money in the 1st place. So, this is REALLY a present totally from myself...

Happee Burfday, Mom & Da-da! Lurve ya always! * hugsies *

Yum-yum, ikan bakar~~~

Ok... Sudah 1 week since my last entry... Must post something before SP goreng me again * :P *

While waiting for the other posts, which i will be VERY FREE to blog when i terminate my current employment * wink *, I shall post this and dedicate to my SP-yang-disayangi, as celebration for the good news that she receives her long-awaited permit kerja * LOL *

Our favorite ikan bakar! * LOL * howling *

And the "char koh" which i like to eat there along with the ikan bakar! Makan-la banyak sikit, ya, SP! All these for you! * LOL * wink * wink *
