Choc Chip Cookies

Feeling energetic and having leftover ingredients on hand, decided to bake some choc chips cookies last night. It had been ages since I last baked - been lazy kua, cos I totally hate the cleaning and washing AFTER the enjoyable making process. And did I mention that weird me like to cook, bake but dont really eat most of the stuff I produced? Dunno why, I like to make saje... * heehee * Not because its horrible to eart, okay? My productions are edible and at most times , delicious! * :P *

Felt like wanting to document my work as well as entice some of you with my cookies * hehehe * hence the pictures taken! This time I made big cookies, instead of the usual bite-size ones. Well, because I have a sudden craving for big cookies to munch on! * :) *

Waiting for their turn to go into the oven! * hehehe * I am still tuning my recipe to mimic those of Famous Amos' - hope my benchmarking succeeds! * wink *

Fresh out from the oven! Yup, they are huge! * heehee *

Upclose. I like this shot! * heehee * Looks yummy, tastes yummy as well! * :P * Loaded with choc chips, I hope it is not too sweet! Who wants some? * :P *

P/s : Kalau mau recipe, just let me know! * wink *

Traffic Madness

Went to get my appointment letter yesterday ( yup, I am taking the Events job) and was caught in the rush hour madness on the way to pick my Daughter for a movie. As I am not familiar with KL roads, I go from Jalan Tun Razak to Bukit Bintang following the Monorail tracks! * LOL * Hebat anot? And I actually berjaya! * LOL * But got stucked in the traffic for 40 minutes!

Here are some pics I took after being bored stucked in the car - after not moving for about 5 minutes!!!

The havoc at Chow Kit where cars from all 4 junctions trying to go into opposite directions. Even with the existance of the traffic police, the traffic wasnt moving.

See the green light? Yet the cars kenot move! after THREE green lights, only can we move a few metres!!!

Dunno isit because of the rain or memang the traffic is this bad everday... And my working hours will be from 9-6pm, dont think I can avoid the rush hour... * sigh... * I guess I must equip my car with good Audio CDs to keep me entertained! I will be facing situations like this on daily basis... And driving a Manual car will not make the traffic bearable... * sigh... *

God, Please bless me with truckfuls of patience!

Soft Touch

My Mum's friend who has always been my hairstylist for the past 2 years met with an accident and will not be able to resume business for another month or two - and I badly needed a haircut! My hair started to look like a bush, with messy curls going anything but curling * OMG *

With job interviews in line and the high possibility of me starting work with the events company within this week or two, I desperately need a haircut to look presentable... Siapa mau tengok a fatsie with bushy hair- what more to hire right? Went to shop yesterday and came across those popular cutNgo salons in shopping malls. Was thinking, whattheheck, try for once what the hype is all about la.

I tell you - it is the most different haircut experience for me. The Uncle ( in his late thirties/early forties) had the softest touch! He handled my hair so slowly and gently, as if my head will roll off if he exerted any more force! * LOL * This is a whole new experience for me as all other hairstylists usually tugged your hair abit when cutting, this Uncle - * wow! * gentle touch, wey! He commented that I have very little hair, maybe thats why he go gentle cos afraid it will fall off? * :P * Memang featherlight touch! He dont look like a man who is so gentle... * LOL * I am thoroughly impressed!

Bought a pair of shoes during the shopping trip - much on impulse actually. I thought it was on 50% sale, mana tahu misunderstanding - it was actually a new arrival. My first buy of this brand actually. Dunno why I feel that I must buy them - I find them of very good quality. Pricewise is similar to the major V brand we usually buy, but I think this is of much better quality.

As it is a peeptoe-wedge-heels, I think it is comfy to wear to work. Why I say its of better quality is that its bottom, instead of the flat and slippery surface like V's, this is a layer of rigged rubber. And of course, the ribbons attracted me * heehee *.

My newly acquired heels! * likey-like-like! *

What is this? I was surprised too when I took my heels out at home. They gave additional pair of the heel buffer!!!

Its for the bottom of the heel! Wow! Usually, the V's heels that I had usually have the prob of the heel buffer worn out quickly or it fall off (especially those thin heels - the kasar me sumtimes got them stuck in narrow floor gaps and it fall off), so this one comes with the additional buffer is a pleasant surprise for me! I feel that for rm59.90, its worth my dough with its quality, if I buy from V's, their heels is similar to this price but off lesser quality.

I shall test this shoe out and determine for sure if it is indeed of better quality of not. * heehee *

Updated Board!

As I am still unemployed, I am like a living soul with no where to head * :P * Really! Going to bed every night (more like morning * :P *) not knowing what I will / have to do the next day and waking up having nothing to do. Being a workaholic, this is pure torture to me... Yeah, this is time I can indulge in my crafts, but the thought that I am unemployed and all crashed any desire away as well as my creativity... Even my car has not been washed for 2 weeks (or is it 3?) already! OMG!!! Got to go wash it after blogging!!!

The one useful activity I did for the past week was this - updating my not-so-notice-board board. Threw away past-dated notes and inserted new ones. This time, I hang in some keychains and souvenirs I got on it instead of putting them on my worktable - the results is good! Can you guys spot the stuff you gave me? * :P *

My Sister's Keeper

Another good read recently that managed to leave an impression is My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

I like it mostly because it caters to my expectation and able to provide a brand new perspective. Kudos to Jodi for her ability to spin the story into an exciting and heart rendering read, I especially like her original sentences with precise words that leave the readers breath-takingly gasping at the new insight of how close the story potrays real life.

Of course, it is refreshing to read of something that is rather controversial and may be something that is turning into reality in this fast advancement of technology world. A thought-provoking book (yes, even the piggie brain of mine got triggered so anyone else's can too * :P *). Very down to earth realistic, reflecting the basic and humane nature. Can be a lil tear-jerking.

I would definitely recommend this book - SP take note - a good read for you cos can make you cry wan - * LOL *

Headache!!!

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! I am officially in a dilemma now!

I am being offered a job which is in the industry I like and the job descriptions I find interesting AND they willing to give me the expected salary of mine. Happy ending right? NO. The downfall is - they are not a MNC.

I have aim to go into a MNC - bcos of its training, the corporate experience, benefits as well as a good steeping stone for future jobhunt - if the need arise. And of course, most MNC offer good entry level salary compared with others - which is my biggest concern * :P * Yeah, I am pretty flexible, I am willing to do anything at this level cos I am so fresh, and I dont even know what I want - so I am pretty open to learn just about anything, hence, I only take into consideration of the $$$$ aspect * :P *

Now, this company are willing to offer me a pay, that is competitive with a MNC - I really dunno how. And they want me to start work within a week! Apparently the boss likes me and he gave the greenlight to give me that extra $$$... How.....

* sigh... * Got a MNC interview tomolo morning - it sounded very competitive with its ONE DAY interview (dat is if you pass the morning tests) but I will take on the challenge as brave as I can - for the experiences.

Wish me all the best and that I can come up with a best solution for my choices...

Nervous + Excited

Going for my 1st interview tomolo - with a major company somemore! Am very nervous + excited and am praying hard that I am able to whizz pass the tests and qualify to the next round! Hope that they wont ask me questions which I have no idea about or that I am brain dead tomolo!

I must maintain calm composure and ensure my anger management is in check! * LOL * SP is so worried of me getting into a fight with interviewers (those kerek ones) - don't worry, dear, I'll endure with optimum grace and poise and curse them the deadliest in my heart * LOL * Will definitely try to blunt my tongue *wink *

Got Liao!

Got replies to my applications liao! * excited + happee! * Got 2 interviews lined up this week - 1 of them is upon my kind lecturer's help and another is from my online submission! So, they DO reply - maybe because they are hiring or maybe I got lucky or maybe it depends on the company how quick they attend to online submissions or maybe....

Out of 11 online submission, so far only 1 reply. But at least there is some sort of reply...

Hoping to get a good paying job ASAP... I don't wanna live life in uncertainty like this, waiting for replies... And I need $$$$!!! * like who doesn't *

And I need to do research on public transportation alternatives too... In case I will need to commute to work via public transportation... And I need to send in more applications... And I need to buy more formal clothes... * sigh... *

Sienz already

* sigh... * The 1st week into my job-hunting and I am already damned sien and green up to my ears filling up online forms... * sigh... * Hopefully can land interviews ASAP and actually get a good job ASAP... Really wonder if those online recruitment tingy really effective anot... Will they even call back? * sighz... *

Waiting is the ball of this game - and I suck to the max at waiting... Gawd... This will be a torture for me... * arghhh!!!!! *

Fast it is and now already 2nd half of 2007. Btw, the Chinese 7th lunar month starts on Aug 13! Gates of Hell will be unlocked! So try to stay home when sun's down! * heehee * SP n W@i in angmoh country so no need to scared! * LOL * I wonder if the angmoh's Hell Gate will be open too? * :P *

Seriously, I've heard many stories that chill me deep into the bones, I BELIEVE that there are such beings and that this age-old practice if the 7th month is true. Some ppl might retort seeing is believing, I've never seen and I sure PRAY HARD that I will never get to see - this, I believe without needing to see!

I do hope that these souls can be freed from their sufferrings... Hell definitely is not a pleasant place to be...

**********************************

Yeah, I am still wide awake now. But I know I must go to sleep... Hence I post this pic to wish you all a Good Morning! Breakfast is served!!! * :P *

Pancakes n sausages n ham n cheese! YUMMY! This is from Paddington's - lurve this place! They serve absolutely good pancakes - though at a staggering price for pancakes, you'd still walk out a happy ( and few pounds heavier) customer * wink * wink *

Durian Fever

Went to bayar MPPJ saman the other day ( yup, i parked for 10 minutes to meet my lecturer sekejap n kena sama adi... ai.... rm50 sumore! F#$%*&^) and as usual, there will never be available parkings so hafta park at the parking building nearby. On my way, saw this shop selling all sort of snacks - all in DURIAN flavor!!! A haven for durian lovers leh!

Though I am not all crazy about durian, the curious kitty in me prompt me to try some of them. I bought Durian tart(the one look like egg tart) and durian puffs ( the 3 balls). The other item is a winter melon pastry - which tasted like deep-fried lou-poh-peang ( I dont recommend this).

Okla - quite good as it very Durian lor * :P * They really give real durian flesh and did not add in much bahan tambahan, giving the durian taste a very original taste - unlike some where they use artificial durian flavoring.

Not bad, very innovative, a must for durian lovers! * :) *

Panda Earrings!

I saw this pair of earrings and knew on the spot that I must own it! * LOL *

Panda Earrings! I know I know, it is so not my style but I was thinking, what the heck, I am not going to wear this kind of earrings when I am 40 years old so kasi sapu saje lah! * :P *

Not very clear pics... Though a silly purchase, it made me happy! Gotta do more silly stuff before I am too old to do it AND get away with it! * LOL * Hitting 24 this year made me realise that there are many more things I have not done when I was younger... I guess I gotta catch up with my youth before its too late! * wink *
