Beloved SP's Birthday 2006

My cheemui yang disayangi turned a year older yesterday! *heehee* Okla, what I meant was a year younger :P We had the celebration on the earlier weekend and, dear, I had fun!

The 4 pigs (SP, WL, Pammie and I) as usual, our activities centred on food *heeheehee* Oh yeahm SP kept MOSTLY to her promise to dress up sexily that night, but ended up conning us with not removing her cardi the who night! *ish...!* Anyway, yeah, you were right SP, it was fun to have occasional outings where we go all out and dress ourself to the nines ( or maybe ten eleven too? :P) more often together... Ok then, we shall organize it k!

We went for dinner at Itallianies, The Curve's outlet. Overall, I can conclude that I am disappointed with their food. Seriously. They received such good reviews from a plenty - prolly people were more inpressed by their decor and service than the food? :/

Yeah, their portion of dishes do come in impressively large servings. Like the god-damn huge piece of lasagna I had. It really took me time, and not to mention the on-going 'motivations' from SP n WL for me to finish it *hehehe*

Oh yeah, baby, cheese explosion! But it was a lil dry on the inside... Was rather good actually, but it leaned on the saltier side. Speaking of salty-ness, memang the food here gila salty leh! Everyone's dishes also was too salty to their likings. Definitely a hamsap chef? :P

And this is the stuffed mushroom we had for appetizer - which was definitely waaaaaayyy BEYONG OUR EXPECTATION dari segi KEKECILANNYA. It was 8 very the small mushrooms stuffed with minced beef topped with cheese cream. What we expected was at least 4 medium sized stuffed mushrooms... *sigh*

And for dessert, I chose the well-recommended tiramisu which most customers give their thumbs up. Well, not from me! Yeah, the presentation was impressive, but taste-wise, was horribly disappointed. Heavy liquer taste saje yg ada, what happened to the supposed rich cream and subtle choc cake taste of the cake? The Tiramisu from Piccolo Mondos and Pizza Uno still kept my heart... :P

Okay, It does sound as if I complained more about it more than I like it, right? Well, I should give 'em some credits and mentioned what I like about Italliannies :P Firstly, I think their service is alrite - with polite waiters, though some of them looked overworked and tired after the busy rain of weekend customers. Their ambiance is rather cozy should one does not dine during the peak hours. Big servings are definitely a plus as it gives satisfaction to the customers for the price they pay. I do like their menu as they offer customers lot enough choices and very well presented with clear descriptions and impressive photos. Yeah, perempuan yang suka kena tipu macam me like menus that can impress me while I make my choices *muahahahar!!!*

After dinner, we headed to Hartamas for some booze. Didnt linger long there as the birthday had a tummy upset, therefore we had to cut the night shorter than planned.

SP, it was no big deal, k? We'll go crazy during my birthday celebration, ya! Gives the excuse for us to bergila lebih menghebatkan on my birthday! Muahahaha! This time, I will make sure that cardi of yours would be off! :P

I had a truly pleasant and delightful evening with the girls. SP, despite she yang paling tua there, *oops... I mean, paling cantik dan berseri lagi anggun :P* was the belle of the night, charming us with her ever funny antics and quick actions/replies. All these years, she stayed the most original from the version I first met her - personality wise ler... My SP setiap hari semakin cantik wan wat... :P Always helpful and understanding, she is one of them whom I treasured most in my life. I do hope that our "penyakit" of chatting and laughing nonstop whenever we talk or meet will never ends...

Thanks for everything, SP! My very heartfelt well wishes and blessings will always be dedicated to you... Happy Birthday to my beloved cheemui, may you get banyak-banyak fabulous orgasms! *wink*wink*

P/s : You asked me if you are included in my list of the people most important to me and the ones I loves most in my life? YES, you are... *blush* You are one of the special lot I care and cherish in my life. You know how my love is 'limited' and is set upon a high bar, but you qualified! :P *beary hugs*

Henna Experiment - Success!

Yay-yay! Can liao! I can draw henna for myself liao! *woohoo!*

For those of you who tengah blur and dunno what the heck I'm celebrating, FYI, henna is a type of traditional dye widely used by Indians and some say Malays too. It can be used to dye one's hair the traditional way - no thanks, give me a box of Loreal hairdye anytime! :P Henna is usually used to temporary tattoo your skin (will fade off within 5-7days) - sort of like the "inai" the Malays use and it comes in 2 colors - black and orange. Apparently the black one is harder to find [ I searched high and low tapi tak jumpa jugak ] and a lil more expensive. Traditionally, it is used by brides on their wedding to decorate their lovely hands and feet, but in this era of modernization, its available for all whenever they fatt-hau wanna apply ler... :P

AND... in conjunction of my beloved [ I sayang, cinta, love, ngoi sama lu... Geli anot? *muahahahar* ] chee mui, SP's birthday, she want me to show some skin during her birthday celebration. Ok-lor... I show you a piece of my thigh, where privilege few get to view... *ngek*ngek*ngek* Nah....

*Muahahahahahar!* Suka anot? :P

The henna powder is actually very, very cheap. The hassle is mixing the paste, but one can get pre-made ones nowadays at a lil higher cost, and the part where one hafta DRAW the motifs / designs... Am learning how to emulate the designs, heehee. So, anyone wants one? I'll gladly service for free! :P

* And just cannot resist to post this pic, another cactus tua in my house * :P * berbunga and this time 3 at one shot! Saam hei lamm mun! hehehe...

Semester break coming to its end...

Tanpa disedari, 3 minggu sudah berlalu... Classes will commence next week *sigh* This break had been the most 'productive' one I've had for the past 2-3 years :P

By means of 'productive' is that of my ass not being too lazy. I sort of managed to accomplish most of my plans and chores during these 3 weeks - cleaned my room (though its a mess again now :P), waxed my car (though the darn haze is 'hazing' my car too), finally kept my promise to my mum to help her paint the panels, refurnished 2 old-school wooden stools of my dad's, planted sunflower seeds ( pls let it grow big and beautiful! and tidak menjadi snack of fatty Lucky - yes, dunno why he like to makan my sunflower plants), teman my bro shop-shop, did some baking and many more *heehee*

On top of that, I managed to catch up on my craft hobby - its something I've sort of neglected since... It is one of my passion, but somehow, my spirit wasnt up to it since 'then' * Cheemuis will faham *wink* Bukan pasal lelaki, ok SP? * Sewed a case for my big throw-cushion, made birthday cards for my cheemuis, decorated my diary, updated my scrapbook, did origami and researches on future craft projects. One of my proud achievements is this ;

My first crocheted scarf! *heehee* *blush* Managed to remain motivated enough to complete it! The design may be simple, but it damned took willpower to crochet row by row, each by half-centimetres to complete it. Am proud of myself for being that patient - those who know me well know how shallow is my patience :P Who wants one? *hehehe*

Started on my 2nd crochet project - am making a doily for my bedside table. Please grant me the motivation to finish ya! :P

And there are few more craft projects in tow. See la, if it turns out alright, I might share them with you all *muahahahar*

My fav Korean food place

This is one of those places which wow-ed me from my first visit till present. It was a surprise tumble upon on a visit to SgWang and call it fate - I am a loyal fan from then onwards. This is one place I will go most of the time I'm there.

Located on the 6th rooftop of SgWang, its a cozy small restaurant next to the Jap restaurant I mentioned in one of my previous blog entries. Here, their food tasted rather authentic and fairly priced. Though their menu is limited to a number of delicacies, each were served fantastically good. Their portion is bigger than most korean food place, with the chef not being kiamsiap departing with their ingredients. One can expect "zhan choi satt liu" here *wink*

I simply lurve their kimchi-jiggae and bulgogis... Their soup memang 'kaw' wan... And unlike some place (especially da pyramid's one), they do not charge you to refill your side dishes...

Another aspect which impressed us ( WL is my usual kaki for this place :P), is their variety of tea. They offer some rather unique tea - Plum tea, Pine Needles tea, Solomon's Brown rice tea, Citrus tea and many more. Each costs bout rm1.50-rm3.00, depending on your choice. Wl especially, simply love their drinks and usually orders 2 per visit. A plus point leh - as WL usually dont drink that much wan... *heehee*

Come on over to this place for Korean food. I highly recommend leh! :P

Rate: Food 8 /10, Ambience 6 /10 ( as it is usually rather quiet, with a small crowd), Service 6 /10, Price 7 /10 ( ecomonical when it comes to other Korean food competitors)

Not the material

Seriously...

I dont think I am someone who can stay at home for too long... Just the 3rd week of semester break, which were spent mostly at home, I am now feverish and brought down by the flu bug :(

I guess my antibodies are alerted and triggered to work only when I am roaming the streets :P

Is being FAT a CRIME / SIN?

Please, tell me, does one being FAT automatically allows he/she to be discriminated and ill-treated?

I bumped into a schoolmate recently. She leans on the heavy side of the scale too. We were catching up with each other about the years since we left school. Suddenly, she brought up the topic of FAT and asked me ( since I am a fatty too :P) if people had been mean to me because of my weight.

WHAT THE F#$% ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

She told me how she experienced girls / females and occasionally males DOESNT WANT TO BEFRIEND HER just because she is FAT. WTF??? Now, make friends also must see fat / slim/ pretty wan ar? How much more shallow can people get? And its not even in high school anymore, man! You make judgements based on the percentage of body fat?

And she went on with the stories how people often being mean to her because she is overweight and the heartlessly cruel things they say to her of her weight. WTF? WTF? WTF? Ya, some people will joke or 'try' to say things in their 'good intention' to 'motivate' you to lose weight - but do they have to be that crude and insensitive? Since when one motivate others by being MEAN?

Puh-lease la - how would you know that person is a fantastic person or not if you dont even give a chance to get to know them first before dismissing them? Or you just plainly diss them because you already them as unworthy, fat asses?

It is a norm that everyone gets discriminated in one way or another, more so if you are overweight in this "obssessed with slim-ness" society. But does it go to the extend that people outcasts fat people and treat them like a disease?

My main ponder - Do people have to be so mean? They think they are so perfect? So smug? Lets see how you'll look like cancer-stricken fifty years from now. Take that, you morons...

These stories from her made me think and realised - I am God-damned L-U-C-K-Y and BLESSED. I have never came across people who doesnt want to befriend me by my appearance. I received some harsh comments on my weight before, but never as horrible as hers. I have never being outcasted because of how much I weighs.

I am even surrounded by a bunch of excellent cheemuis and heng-tais. I am showered with love from my circle of friends and am treated kindly by others. I am respected and tolerated. I am pampered and spoilt. I have loved and been loved.

It made me realise how much I've actually been blessed and were spared form the erratic world of bashing towards the heavy people. It made me to acknowledge those I know and to appreciate everything they did for me. It reminds me how cruel humans can get. It brings me face-to-face with the mean world.

Thanks for everything people. You are all a kind bunch! May you all be blessed...

I salute you

In this 3 weeks of semester break, of course my life centered mostly in front of the television :P To catch up on the programmes I missed ma... *heehee* But to let you all my secret, I sort of cannot watch certain channels as my emotional self will take over and I'll start to cry and Mum thinks me crazy. SERIOUSLY.

Call me a sucker or watever - but I just beh-tahan watching those rescue shows and documentaries which showcased on people or animals' suffering. Ya, I am someone who can cry just from watching Animal Plannet Channel 51.

Lately, what triggered my innerself while watching tv is how brave and selfless some people are in dedicating their time, energy and money just to help others. Like the Katrina Hurricane in the states - how people there not only surrendered their money but help personally to the victims. Even animals are not spared - being a rescue team surrected just to help those pets trapped in the disaster.

These people are willingly to go to ground zero and rendered help. What torched my heart is their compassion, dedication and selflessness to go beyond all to give the best aid in the time when things are worst. They are not afraid to go to disaster areas to help - unlike most of the population who would just watch and rely on others to do the job. having spent most of me teen years doing voluntary work, I do understand the need for not only having manpower to do the job, but to do it with heart and sincere passion to help others.

One can see how they not only offer help, but they do it pasionately and whole heartedly. No merely 'just do the job' but to give all out as if their life depended on it. And all their active participation - not those just doing what they are told to do and cabut as soon as duty hour is over. They willing to do the dirty job as well. Oh yeah, that is a quality worth saluting. Not every volunteer is willing to do low-end jobs -BELIEVE ME.

I totally salutes all these helpers and aiders... May you all be blessed generously...

Texture of Lust

People always said that men get turned on looking while women aroused by touch. I wasnt a believer as I felt that women too get aroused by looking :P Any female out there agrees with me? But when I gotten a taste - er... a feel of the texture of lust, man, I am enlightened!

A personal trainer was assigned to me for a free 2 sessions upon registration - sort of to lure you into subscribing the PT programmes, which costs - you dont wanna know. My this trainer was very friendly and he would come over to have a short chat whenever we bumped into each other in gym. He's cute with a good, muscular build though disappointingly a lil short on my scale of perfect man :P

Anyway, he came over to me while I was working out to say hie. Usually, PTs wear a collared tee but that very day, he was on his break so he were wearing a sleeveless top - which granted me perfect vies of his well-developed, err...arms *wink* He flashed that devastatingly mischiveous smile of his and shared some tips on how to tone up arms. Tempted me replied how I wonder when could I ever achieve arms as toned as his and reach up to gently squeeze his. * ARM ok, SP, ARM*

OH MY GAWD.

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly experienced again what the texture of lust felt like.

His arm is gila firm and hard!!! And his skin - powdery soft! *pengsan* It took all my willpower to remove my grip from his well-toned arms...

What runs through my mind now everytime I see him is - what lies underneath that shirt :P

Waffles

Ate waffles for Saturday brunch at Waffle World. It had been some time since the last time I had them. WL and me had waffle fest, hehe... Though they were nothing extraordinary, but they looked so pweeetttyyy!

Classic belgian waffles. Yummy! Wish I could wake up to these everyday...

Choc Chip Pancakes with Ice-cream. Was okay saja - too floury-tasting.

Rate: Presentation 6.5 /10, price 5 /10, food 5 /10

CH's Birthday 2006

One of my busy Leo-man finally managed to slot us into his timetable for a quick celebration of his birthday - one week earlier :P We went to Flaming's in Sunway for buffet steamboat. A rather cozy and quiet place for us to pig-out and catch up with each other.

My busy Leo hing tai is much the same guy I used to know and dear. Still sunny and always try to cheer. Looking better each time we meet up - way to go CH! ( is it true that guys who has gf adi tends to look better? Got motivation to look good? :P)

Its his nature to enjoy being a good host - he ended up serving me and C most of the time - needless to say, he did most of the cooking. *heehee*

These are among the food we stuffed down our throat that night *muahahahar* They do offer a huge variety of fishcakes, vege, seafood and even some cooked food like fried rice, etc. Though the seafood wasnt that fresh. For those peanut-sauce fans, they have the satay celup thingy here.

*muahahahahahar* Delightful me gleeing over a plate filled with prawns! *ngek*ngek*ngek* SP, nampak anot? :P*

And for dessert, they has freefow of ice-creams. This is the creation of the birthday boy.

Rate food 5.5 / 10, price 7 /10, ambience 6 /10, service 5 /10

Following aft dinner, we headed over to Beans in SS15 for more chatting session. Disappointingly, the tongsui there - ewwww! I tried their bubur cha-cha, and the yam pieces were RAW *gawd!* Jangan harap I will return!

While there, we were cam-whoring. Took some pictures for remembrance-la, and a group of guys in the table next to ours seemed to enjoy watching us doing that. Suprisingly, when I enquired them if any of them has a lighter to lit out bday cake candle, they takde. They looks like smokers wor :P hehehe... See la, sibuk look at us, when ask them stuff, chicken pulak.

So, hereby I would like to once again wish CH a very Happy Birthday. Big boy adi la... behave ya! :P Since it was a quick celebration, will make up on it k! Maybe on my birthday? :P *bearyhugs*

Kerang Bakar

I am someone who doesnt like see hamm but this is one place where one can witness me disregard my grace and start kopek kerang :) Introduced to this place by Pammie a while ago, I quickly gotten hooked onto their cockles...

A Malay cuisine restaurant, ( SP so gonna hate their name :P ), Restoren Yaya in USJ 14. Not sure if they are open in daytime as I usually visits when night falls. Hey, where syiok kopek kerang in the sweltering heat?

Actually they just 'bakar' or grill the cockles. What makes the cockle appealing to me is that they are no longer bloody as the grilling sort of dries them up a bit and the sauce that accompanies. It is a sweet chili sauce laced with peanut sprinkle - added a fragrant aroma to it which pairs extremely well with the cockles.

Nasi Goreng Belacan Pedas - which the chef take it to heart and made it VERY pedas for me :/ But sedap anyway, hehe...

This place offers the usual dishes Malay cuisine offers - semua itu nasi goreng-goreng, Thai ala Malay style, ikan bakar and even western food ala Malay style jugak. Their food there is alright but one really must go there for their kerang bakar. What adds to a fun night to sit in open air and kopek kerang while rambling nonstop with friends? And their pricing is economical - rm3.50 for a plate of kerang bakar - a good place to hang out when the 'dry' season of your pocket hits... :P

Food 8 /10 for their kerang bakar, 5.6 /10 for the rest of the menu, 7 /10 for price, alamak... their ambience and service tak payah rate la - its just like a mamak place - go figures... *wink*
