Resume Finalized!

My resume finally is done * or so I believe it is! * LOL *

My cheemuis and my bro will know how irritating I have been behaving, moping over the composition of my resume. I never knew it is so hard to compile a 2-page resume, and this, me, only being an entry level application! * pengsan *

Yeah, I know I am over "excited" with it and was glad to be pointed out by W@i to stop being such a perfectionist and stop trying too hard over it. And by SP to stop worrying about it as God will leak me a path when the time comes... And gracious C for helping me out so much despite her hectic work schedules. And WL support in joining me to hunt for my work wardrobe * :P * And the many of yous who sent me templates and examples of resume... And of course, for all who helped to proof-read and edit my pathetic resume...

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for each one of my cheemuis for their concerns, blessings as well as the many valuable advice poured onto me regarding my this new phase of life. Thanks!!! Lurve ya all! * I am so blessed... * weep * weep *

One worry down, many more to go.... * sigh *

Box Frenzy!

Many of my close ones think I am a huge-pig of a freak when it comes to organization of my life * blink * blink * I admit that at times, or maybe at certain aspects, I might be overly obsessed and meticulous but, hey, thats how I like my life to be - at least, for things I can control * LOL * I guess, being a management student compelled me to manage everything I can get my hands onto! * muahahahaaha! *

My latest activity in the organizing my stuff would be - boxing! * :) * I simply lurve boxes, and I fancy most to keep my stuff in boxes. Mainly cos I think it would be not only more organized and easy for me to locate my stuff, but also it helps to keep the dust away(I ensure all my boxes are airtight - especially for certain items). All I need is just clean the other part of the box and all the precious in it will stay free from dust as well as the sunlight * wink * Even my plushies I box them all in when I migrate them from my bed * :P * Yes, I think I am a freak now * :P *

I find my accessories needed some re-organization and this is what I did, and Yes, I love to collect accessories! * :P *;

A box for hair accessories that I seldom use / for certain occasions only.

My earrings box. I changed it from the previous layout as it wasnt so good ( the box hafta be kept upright which is not so collaborating with the "inventory management" of my boxes * :P *)

Box for my necklaces * hehehe *

Box for my hair clips * wink *

A box for all my Evita Peroni stuff * heehee * paiseh *

A box especially for my fur-fur accessories! * muahahhaaha! *

A small box to organize my stamp arts

A box just for my hair bands / Alice bands

My ribbon box! For crafts and all things to do with ribbons! * :P *

My cutesy cellophane tapes!
Cutesy cellophane tapes Part 2! * LOL * Yeah, a lot rite? There was this period of time I keep collecting and buying and now - well, you know la... *LOL *

My cheemuis know I have many quirky behaviors, habits and like, and one of them is my latest craze to my collection of many things - Cutesy headbands! Pammie always knew my fascination with furry ears to the extend she nearly give me restrictive orders to be away from her dogs when I told her I wanna keep late-Iro's ears after he died ( FYI, I didnt get to preserve nor keep Iro's ears - so dont start shouting already * :P *) I have always like those cute-cute, outrageous headbands and now, I am starting to collect them! SP's gift of the Minnie Mouse Ears jump started my collection and the craze burns on! This one is a souvenir by WL from Korea! Thanks, gal! Lurve it! I just need the bunny suit, net-stockings and furry bunny tail to complete my fantasy costume! * Oopsies... Did I just said that? * blush *

What I 'hunted' from Spore - another pair of bunny ears but its in clips-style and Winnie the Pooh ears! * C so gonna make me wear it to her birthday now that she know I have one! * LOL *

My box or furry "ears"! * LOL * There are few more boxes in my rooms and a few more for me to organize, but I guess you are all scared of me already! * muahahhaha * And I havent started to show you my "boxes" of my craft stuff! * LOL * I told ya I am a freak!

Are you afraid already? * laughing gleefully........ *

Rakuzen

Went to makan good Jap food last week with my fellow cheemuis! Had a great time with fantastic company, good food and a healthy dose of laughter! Am looking for our Gathering-Part2 this weekend before my beloved SP flies... * hehehe * Must bergila and kalau tak mabuk tak boleh balik! * LOL *

Sushis! So beautifully lined!

Part of WL's set - Yummy!!!

This one is quite good! Big big prawn! I like the avocado toppings!

My sushi-tempura set! I like it!

A rather good place for good Jap food, though service is just moderate. Prolly it was the peak hour and they are really very packed. Food portions are alrite, and the ingredients were fresh and generously proportioned. The next time I go must go try out more of the menu! Oh, speaking of the menu, they have an extensive menu to choose from, imagine indecisive people like me hafta make up my mind to actually select some from the vast array of choices... * LOL *

Rate: Food 7 /10, Service 5 /10, Price 4.5 /10, Ambience 5 /10

I am so pretty!

Fatty Luck : I am so preetttty... I am so preettyyy...! (Dont tell PQ I stole her clip!) O-M-G!
I am just so darn pretty! * wink *

Flower Galore!

This is one experience and entry which I dedicate to my fellow cheemuis, especially for flower lovers like me! * wink * In Hanoi, they sell fresh flowers basically EVERYWHERE!!! from peddlers to street stalls to florist shops! O-M-G! A flower heaven for me!!! * LOL *

Apparently, Viets likes flowers, and they decorate their homes with fresh flowers. To them, giving flowers to friends is as normal as us buying friends teh tarik - seriously! Flowers are darn cheap ok! The guy who went with us bought a bouquet of 999 roses to bring home to his GF at only less than SGD 20! or was it SGD 30? * :P * 999 leh! * pengsan * So cheap! I think a bouquet of a dozen roses in Msia is already like wat - rm50 and above? We also bought one bouquet as a gift for the host's aunt at only SGD3! Pengsan anot I tell you? * sigh... *

I tell you, they have STREETS of them selling flowers! * pengsan * I want! I want! * LOL *
One of the streets which I saw piled with flowers!!!

At one of the street, in front of a stall. Yep, all this only is part of ONE stall! They like to pack all into bouquets and put out to exhibit, so customers just choose and leave with it. Though it might be cheap in price, but not in quality. Most of them are much much more beautifully packed than those in Msia, with them using nice papers and materials. The flowers are all so fresh and beautiful, and so many kinds of flowers to choose from! * pengsan again * And the strong, sweet aroma of flowers just wrapped around you until you barely remember that you are actually standing at the side of one hell of a busy street.

Here are some shots at the flowers I excitedly took * :P * Not all sellers allow you to snap photos of their work, these are all I could manage!

I have never seen orchids bouquets in Msia... Cute!

They even sell flower stands...

This is my personal favorite! I love it so much, it broke my heart to know that I have too much luggage to bring home and not enough hand to carry it home.. My convo is coming, any kind and thoughtful person will get it for me? * :P *

So pretty!!!!!

Yellow roses! I like the wrappings! Dedicate to my cheery W@i darling!

My favorite flower - the sunflower! And this is one big-ass sunflower, I think it is as big as my face! See how they manage to make even ONE bloom looks nice? * sigh *

Tiger Lilies! Very nice cos the bloom is actually very big, and very fresh! Smells heavenly too! Dedicate for SP - cos she mentioned her mum like these, so she can share with her family *LOL *

Pinkie roses! For the demure WL... * :P )

I like how these roses are fully bloomed and opened so nicely...

Gerberas! Do you know that gerberas are known as the money flower to Viets? Aparently, they bring money luck! Hooray!

White roses! Like like like 'em!

One big ass rose! It is actually petals of roses arranged to look like one big rose... cute concept hor? To symbolise - " You are my only ONE" * heehee *

Heart shaped bouquet! Isnt it sweet? And the florist thoughtfully put 2 single roses in the middle of the heart... * swoon * I shall dedicate this one for CIndy - I think it suits her... * wink *

The 999 bouquet of roses the guy bought! Spectacular, ain't it?

Cantik!!!

This is the lady who sold us the 999 roses. She personally requested me to take a pic of her with her flowers! Such a cutie!

I love flowers!

Places I Went in Hanoi

Ok - I think this is the 2nd last entry I am gonna blog about my Viet trip. I think everyone starting to get tired of reading about my trip adi... Sorry that I could not post all the pics, if you would like to see all, just let me know, I can send you the link! * hehehe * So this is a run-through of the places I went there....

The 1st thing that hit my interest as I arrive is the building structures there. Apparently, they like their buildings narrow and tall! And they like to build them in 3-5 stories high, with no lifts! So climb you go! Another reason why Viets are so fit!

The buildings... Its is like this all over Hanoi, except the new commercial area.

All over Hanoi, you can see peddlers like this, usually old ladies. They sell fruits, food, flowers, well - almost everyting! There are also peddlers on bicycles or motorcycles loaded with goods. Be careful, they usually bug you to buy, so try not to attract their attention.

Lotus Lake (somewhere near WestLake) ! I went to eat Viet food buffet at Lotus Restaurant, which are located at the lotus lake! And the restaurant is overlooking this magnificent view! A big lake full of lotus plants! Too bad it wasnt the season of lotus flowers in bloom, which i can bet my ass would be majestic...

Went to this particular place, where they have live band music. It was great! They actually played classical guitar music and the experience is fantastic! For the first time in my life, I actually get to experience like what my mother used to tell me stories about how they used to go listen to storytellers of for shows - where they hafta bring their own stools to sit to watch the show. Here, I did it! Though I dont hafta bring a stool on my own, but we were seated on stools out in the garden as the room was full to listen to the music. Cute!

Water Puppets! Another must-go in Hanoi. You can choose to o for the English dubbed or local one. Both is the same, I heard, just the language. Really good lo, they are very skillful in handling the puppets, making them move lifelike. A thumbs up for this!

A waterfall in TamDao - whihc is something like Cameron HIghlands in Malaysia. A hill where it is all misty and has a great view when u climb to the top. Unfortunately, I had a tummy upset that day and didnt make it to the top...

See? The fog! * heehee* Everywhere here is the plantation of a vegetable called " soo-soo" which is a kind of ulam, in Malaysia. I dunno whats its called in Malaysia.

"Gua-Soo-Soo" - the fruit of the ulam, boiled and served steaming hot. Very sweet and cruncy, served with crushed kacang for dip.

The "Soo-Soo" plant - stir-fried. Very cruncy and well, fresh. Sedap! * hehehe *

And some sort of fried BIRD!

I really cant make myself to eat it, but reluctantly shew thow for the sake of my hosts. With my upset tummy that day, I tried so hard not to puke. Its not that it tasted bad, I just cant stand the thought of it....

Mountain-dog! * heehee* A dog I spotted living at the highland - what a cutie! A shy one too, and like all other dogs in Hanoi, they are shy and afraid of people - I guess they learned not to be too trusting or they'll might end up on a plate.

The Old Quarters - it constitutes of 39 streets ( if i have not mistaken - its thirty something :P). A lil like Petaling street multiplied by 30 * :P * and each street sells one kind of stuf and another street sells another kind. My shoe-crazy friends will go ballistic at the shoe street! * hehehe * Again, a place with no price tags, so haggle away and beware of the chop!

The Temple of Literature - used to be a university for princes and scholars, are now converted into a temple. They have many stone figures like these where manes of scholars over the centuries are etched onto it to honour them. They believe that if you pray sincerely and touch the tortoise head, they will bring you good luck for your studies...

The Mauseluem of Ho Chi Minh - Go see the preservation of their late president whom they respected a lot. It is interesting to see his old quarters and to learn up about his history.

West Lake. A big lake * :P *

At the West Lake, we went to this temple with pagodas of Buddha Statues. Each of the statues has different facial expression. Unique.

The Tortoise God Temple. This is the famous red bridge at the gate of it. There is a legend behind this temple and of the tortoise. Kalau mau tahu, tanya saya personally.... * :P * LAzy wanna type la * :P *

The Tortoise! Apparently, it is the preservation of an actual tortoise! Dunno la, it didnt look so real to me though....

The Museum of Ethnology - which I lurved! Very enlightening! Here, you can read up and look into the culture of Vietnamese, their history and their culture. A must go for those who enjoy learning about how people live over the past and look at the items people used to use. A place to crash-course on Vietnam and its people.

There, I saw this interesting scene. It is actually part of a series of figurines on ancient Viet tombs which are symbolic to the fertility well wishes to the younger generations and also potraying part of human life cycle. I like this shot as it appears to me - " What the F$#% are you looking at? " * LOL *

I can round up that it is quite a nice visit, really opened up my sights and deepen my insights. Overall, it gave me an invaluable experience - to feel like I am travelling against time, and see how our parents and grandparents used to live. It reminds me how lucky I am to live in a much more modern country and that I am blessed to be able to live so comfortably...
