Cup

The name of this shop is the meaning of CUP translated from our national language * =P *

Located at Telawi, Bangsar, went there for one Friday lunch. Its another of those modern Kopitiam type - but more expensive than the famous franchises.

The ice blended Kopi

Roti Bakar - a lil too over toasted to me.

Nasi Lemak - not bad but weird, first time ate one which they serve a side dish of kangkung...

KungFu Pan Mee

* Super Delayed Entry *

Had this somewhere last year, yeah, I know this is super delayed * hehehe * and I have many more of these pending items to blog... * LOL * Please bear with me on this.

Its the very much spoke about Pan Mee place on the Internet this shop in Puchong. Tried it finally and as a Pan Mee lover, it didnt rock my boat.

Yeah, it was good, but nothing beyond.

The Chili Pan Mee. I personally prefer the famous one in KL.

Prolly cos they give dry chili flakes instead of the cooked chilli paste+oil+flakes like the KL one. But the mee not firm too...

The normal, soupy one.

This one tasted very home made. I LURVE LURVE PanMee - up to date, still the Chili Pan Mee in KL and the soupy one at SS19 Subang Jaya in my best list - and of course, the one my mum's and Auntie Fun's - best home maker Pan mee they can make!

Mountain of Rice

Its widely assumed that guys generally eat more than girls. I do agree that they eat more but not so MUCH more.

A guy friend of mine had this for lunch some time ago.

It may look not so much from the pic but let me assure you - its a RICE MOUNTAIN!

Guys around me usually dont eat that much * or prolly we gal pigs ate more than they do? * =P * so this is like a shock to me. * LOL * But then again, I am not so much of a rice eater.

AND, he claimed that he wasnt even fully filled yet.

Crazy 3 months

I think I have a most crazy 3 months - since March, April and right up till May - need more breathing space. In which I dont think I have enough.

Days seem to whiz past just like that, with not enough hours * apparently * and I feel like I am lacking in many... There is so much to do with so limited time, many has to be pushed aside and ignored - yup, living in a denial that I am doing most I could - am I?

The months after May will be the adjusting period - hell, now it has started anyway, just not glaringly... Change in inevitable, praying that it will be a pleasant journey atop of the stress and managing expectations.

Activities abundant, yet the passion isnt enough to fuel me to share with others. FB is plastered with pics of people doing this that, triggered many questions asking - where's yours? Sorry, I am just not into "advertising" how out there I am - I am just not out there, I know.

I need more to pick all these up - am still learning how to juggle it all...

CNY 2009

* Delayed Entry *

A quick note on my CNY this year

The only CNY cookies I made this year, with Pammie actually. Yeah, the classic excuse - too caught up with work and too lazy when finally get some time time off * =P *

The annual very-very-very delicious pineapple tarts home made by my neighbour - lurve it!

A very sedap "dragon cookies" - ate this at my Aunt 3's home (maternal side) and the taste triggered a nolstalgic pang to my tongue. Found out that its actually from the famous cookie seller who used to reside at my "kampung" - apparently my Aunt 3 still got keep in contact with them - this is by far the best "dragon cookies" I had...

CNY will not be complete (to me lar...) without Pussy Willows. My mum nearly dont wanna buy them this year! I protested aggressively and she ended up buying * wink * wink *

This year, I got to go to Thean Hou temple (the one near Midvalley, KL) during CNY period. No need to mention the people mountain people sea - but yes, the trip do inflict CNY mood to one

And at one of the family gatherings (maternal side), I tried my hands, attempting to learn how to play mahjong from my aunts and uncles. Well, since birth, I grew up with the sound of mahjong tiles clashing whenever I am at their gatherings - never once they dont bring out the tiles - and one of my aunt taught me along with my mum.

Not much of a success as I end up dont remember a single thing and STILL dont know how to play - hey, it was only a 10 minute tutorial and yes, I am slow learner k!!! Even my 10 year old cousin bro knows how to play.... * sigh... *

Anyway, like people always say - beginner's luck - and apparently it is deemed true. I won at the FIRST game I play! * LOL *

Woohoo!

And also the 2nd game! * muahahaha *

No, SP, I am no addict - dont even know how to play till now. And the funny thing is, I asked my aunt what is the objective of the game and if there is anything I need to kill or conquer - they all laughed endlessly especially my cousin bro as they said " this is no computer game - you just collect and strategise to collect the combination to win"

* LOL *

Spicy Steamboat with China HR

Went for a Steamboat dinner with the China HR Floorwalkers last month (or was it February? * =P *).

They have the "maa laat" steamboat * mega spicy soup * and yes, I took one bite and gave up * =P *

Its another one of those steamboat buffet style, I find the food there so-so. Got BBQ oso, but those which people grill for you... Somehow, I prefer if its self-service * hehehe *

The "maa laat" soup

Delicious cooked chicken wings

Wide array of seafood available

Mushrooms galore!

I did "compiled" a plate of cute matballs, which they offered, in shapes of smiley face, bear, etc, but before I manage to snap the pic, D pushed them all into the pot!!! Talk about hungry eaters... * LOL *

Happee Burfday, Adz!

Happy Birthday to my Pet-Bro Adz!

May all be good and smooth sailing for you...

May laughter be a constant catalyst in your life...

May love be a permanent resident in your heart...

Let's inject this Doc with lots of hugs and kisses on this day!

My Fav Tomyum - For now - Cili Terbang

* OMG OMG OMG *

I seriously lurve the tomyum from Cili Terbang. I think I am in lurve...

Appetizer : Money bag yg takde $$$

Its actually toasted bread but chic flavored - sedap actually

Tadaaa!!! Tomyum Noodles with Seafood. Unique bowl.

Look at the thick soup... * drooling * and the big servings or seafood...

I lurve the seafood they include too - especially the fish fillet - its deep fried, unlike the usual which just cook the fish with the soup.

How not to cool down after the fiery tomyum with a fragrant Thai C-O-C-O-N-U-T * =P *

And I like their papaya and mango salads too - very yummy! Though a lil pricey, but this is becoming my fav place and I get tomyum-orgasm each time * blush *
