Ipoh Road Trip: 21-22 March 2009

** Delayed Entry **

Ok, another one that will make SP reward me with a fat pinch * =P * Finally a short update on the road trip to Ipoh in May.

Pammie, Ivy and myself headed up to Ipoh for the weekend, having Daniel as our tour guide. Many Thanks to Daniel for his time and willingness to be our tour guide for this, not to mention having to stand the weekend with 3 shrieking girls - well, shrieking we tried our best to put it in a minimum level - or at least I did my best to not be so excited * hahaha *

I thoroughly enjoyed myself a lot, and glad that we made that trip. Think we should try to do things like this more often * =) *

I did mention before that this trip bears the main objective of Makan-Makan, but of course, we need to do something to burn off the calories before making space for the next meal * =P * So this first part on the places we went...

Padang Ipoh

The Ipoh Railway Station

I like the old victorian style architecture of it

Nice place to take those professional pictures * heehee *

The very old, original lift to the 1st floor. It is still working !!! And we took a ride in in * =) *
We also round Ipoh town in our car as its more of just sight seeing the old buildings...

We then headed to Kellie's Castle - a freaking sunny, hot day it was!

The tree which looks like there's a bear hugging it - very unique!

Kellie's Castle! If only they managed to complete it - can imagine that it would be splendid!

We were fascinated by this toilet which are separated with these really low panels - you just need to stand up on your toe and you can peep at the next cubicle!

Oh - and we went to a Funfair! Yeah, it satisfied my childhood cravings for wanting to go to a fun fair - its very old school feeling. I was a lil disappointed to find no one selling cotton candy or else it will be perfect!

Believe it or not, we were tempted to go in but chickened out * LOL *

But Pammie and I did took this ride! * wink *

Sunday Flea Market - very crowded and you can find lots of antique, old stuff! Very interesting!

The Ipoh White Coffee place.

Next entry will post you the delicious food we greedily had in Ipoh * wink wink *
