Rumah Orang Korea

A delayed post - C must be fuming! * :P * I guess she must have been anticipating this post since this place was suggested by her anyway * :P * We went to this Korean food restaurant in SS2 called the Korean House. They offer Korean BBQ and also some signature Korean dishes.

The restaurant looks like an old place, with the red-brick color and heavy chairs. Looks aside, this place offered one of the best Korean food to me so far besides the one on SgWang's 6th floor. Once you step into the place, you'll be greeted by polite, shy waiters and enthusiastic bosses. I serious like this place's food as they are just fantastic! Very authentic in taste! C love this place too! I will definitely recommend this place is the place to go if one is craving for korean cuisine. The drawback is that it is rather pricey - it cost us about rm50 per stomach, but I heard that it is rather standard price for Korean cuisine - good one that is. Though a lil expensive - I felt that it is WORTH EVERY RINGGIT!!! Cos you'll feel so satisfied from the moment you see the food till all of it went into your tummy!

Marinated Chicken Pieces that goes into the BBQ pit - looks like * erm... * a pile of 'something' but tasted O-M-G So Good! Sweet and tender!

The arrays of side dishes! I think got at least 10 type of side dishes being offered to us - each unique and wat else - sedap-lah! I bet WL will lurve this place too, especially when she is so fond of Korean side dishes...

Ah... The marinated beef slices.... It tasted fantastic either eaten by its own or wrapped in lettuce with cucumber, garlic and carrots that were provided as well. Well marinated and grilled to perfection! Y-U-M-M-Y!!!

And the highlight of our meal - their kimchi-jiggae! I can tell you - its a burst of kimchi orgasm!!! * howling...! * Really! Priced at rm15 per pot, it was served along with rice - which we abandoned - too stuffed liao... This is a MUST TRY I tell you! A very thich broth of kimchi soup along with generous servings of ingredients! C was so impressed and love it so much, she couldnt stop gushing about it all night! * :P * Oh yeah, it is THAT good!

I tell you - GO there to try their kimchi-jiggae! Its very very good! * heehee* C liased with me to give this place a rating of 9/10 because of it!

After a very satisfied dinner, we went for dessert - ya lar, my pig stomach can still be filled * muahahahaha...!!! * Went to this Chef Loong's place - I tell you - its NO good. They offer desserts and dimsum. First impression already lost as we were greeted by a stinky, pungent smell in their restaurant. Their place is rather 'sempit' and tables were close to one another.

Egg with milk dessert - * puke... * the texture was like a DRY tau foo fah and where is the milk gone ah? Please dont bother to try it...

Some mango with ice-cream dessert. Boleh tahan, but not exactly good also...

This, I kena tipu - their cinnamon egg tarts which actually just a sprinkle of cinnamon powder on the surface * pengsan * Nothing as special as the name suggested. No, SP, walaupun kena tipu, this time I tak gembira ditipu * :P *

Despite a rather unpleasant experience with their dessert, it seems like their dimsum dishes looked much better. Maybe the other stuff there would be nice ...

It was indeed a lil depressing to end the evening with bad dessert as we had such a good Korean meal before that ...
